Did not find anything but has anybody got the Chrosziel bridge plate with the 19mm rods? Did you have the chance to mount your Red on this item. Will the threads be in the right place or do I need to have a Red ARRI style bridge plate?
Anybody?

Markus,
If you mean the bridge plate and dovetail system designed to work with the Chrosziel Quick release plate for HD cameras, there is approx 10mm difference in height.
Using a MB-18 you have to force the insert ring down 10mm to mount on a Zeiss 50mm Standard using a 80mm insert ring on the MB-18.
Theoretically you could have a spacer plate made to fit between the bridge plate and the Red and get longer 3/8"+1/4" screws.
If you got the spacer plate made with countersunk screws/holes you could leave it permanently mounted to Red and screw in your Chrosizel bridge plate to that rather than the body.
However, our Arri Dovetail doesn't seem to like our Chrosziel bridge plate. You may have compatibility problems if looking to go with 3rd party shoulder rigs designed for ET and Arri Bridge Plates.
Please do your own tests first, this was just me mucking about over the morning coffee. YMMV.

Thank you for this very detailed information. It was pretty much what I was looking for. It will be very interesting though to hear your opinion again once in a while if this was just mucking over the morning coffee :-) Was detailed as could be in my eyes.
Again thanks!
