I see Tim has to give the reds up due to no 1080p output, and is going the HPX 3000 route.

but then I read this from RED/Stuart (pretty recent, even in Red terms...):
http://www.reduser.net/forum/showpost.php?p=116202&postcount=116
On another thread Jim says something along the lines of 1080 scale "never being planned", just cropped. Which is contrary to the earlier announced (subject to change) specs.
On an different post a "TV firmware build" was announced, much in line with Stuarts post.
I know this has been discussed ad nauseum, but for some, it would be good to have a final word on the plans, just to prepare.
RED may think this feature is irrelevant, and have a good case for many markets. To others, Like Tim, it's a showstopper.
This is not a post to discuss why we need or don't need 1080p scaled 4:4:4. That discussion is already well done, I think. It's more about getting a roadmap picture.
Any ideas? Or have I overseen some important info, as Tim has chosen to jump ship?
