I'm presently considering the AJA Io HD and I'm wondering whether anyone is using it currently somewhere in their RED workflow? If so, is it working well? How useful is it to you?
Thanks

I was hoping that the HD SDI ports are transferring the TC, because if they are it's brilliant. Then I can capture, preview and edit on set through the AJA Io HD. If this is a feature that's not thought of or not yet enabled please make it happen.
The AJA Io HD is a perfect tool for us that doesn't want to tie the camera down when it's time for previewing. By having TC it's two birds in one stone and no conversion afterwards is necessary :w00t:

i am using these. two of them so far, more to come. use them for simple record and playback however, not much else.
timecode is on there, but not through the HD-SDI. Separate connection.
Why would this avoid a conversion afterwards weirdcrew?

Yo Skip I think he means?
Capture HD Red camera outputs from the HDSDI port to laptop in DVcProHD or whatever and edit.... has some merit when quick turnaround is the biggy and the camera is locked down a bit.
