Does anyone have any experiences with the Lectrosonics LMa transmitters?

The LMa transmitters are Lectro's lower power (50mW) transmitters. There are also a few other cost saving items involved (mostly physical). I'm curious if anyone has ever used these transmitters and can make any comments about them. I'm thinking of buying several of them along with the Lectro VR Field receiver, but before I plunk down the cash, I really want to make sure they will work really, really well. FYI, we will seldom be more than 10 or 20 yards from the receivers.
