Just thought I would ask if any one has info on this. we have a set of super sharp Ultranon's they have bncr mounts. so it would be nice to be able to use them. I am sure that it would be a custom third party job, so my concern was two fold one: would the mount adapter even fit in the camera housing. Two: who would manufacture this sort of adapter.
thanks

Right on Dancad3D,
I saw a photo of a lens with both the BNCR an the PL mounts mounted on a zoom lens the other day. Can't remember the site though. I think it was one of those commie lenses. So it appears they don't interfer with each other. Cooke had/has the best mounting system that I ever saw. They made the collimation shim of suffcient thickness to allow easy replacement by simply unscrewing a ring and removing the whole mounting assembly, thus exposing a metal shim ring that could be replaced with factory parts. Though sometimes we had to surface grind one of the factory shims if a stock one was not the right thickness for a particular lens.
So far as picking up a new thread combo on the helicoid, that could get iffy on some lenses as they are often lapped into each other to provide minimal backlash when reversing direction of the focusing ring.

Thanks guys, I am still trying to figure out if there is an existing company that does this.
