I do like the carbon rods, it shaves of a bit of weight, and looks slicker. The rods and the nikon mount are from red. The tripod is from Amvona

Not to be a jerk, but why would you spend all that money on a RED package and then outfit it with a Dynatran of all things?
It looks like it's about to snap off the head.
Even a Manfrotto 519 would be better I'd imagine.

For personal projects I don't want to lug arround the other tripod I own- Sachtler 30II and the heavy Ransford legs. After my Fifth set up, I'm beggining to feel the weight. At the price point, I didn't mind taking the chance.

That lens looks really weird on that set up... I like the idea behind the rods though.

Extra special- ???, special- maybe. Those are not carbon fiber rods. They are carbon rods, stronger and almost 3x's the price.
