Brent,

Is it possible to list the issues that were fixed in each build included in the readme.txt file?

It would be nice to know what issues have been addressed, to determine whether it would be worth upgrading.

Thanks,

Kyle

Do you mind highlighting the specific changes from build 2.1.7??? We're anxious to know whats been fixed with 2.2.1. (we're livin' on the bleeding edge with the firmware as it is, so we'll update anyway, but still, would love to know)

THANKS!

Well the first thing I notice is I can't stimulate the LCD flicker this morning.

The second thing is, the red edge enhancement seems brighter. Am I imagining these two things?

Great!

We were going to post what was fixed, but we could not think of a technical term for "LCD strobing shit"....

So the LCD strobing has been de-shitted or wiped or ...something

BUT seriously.

Installed.

Started Black Shading Calibration. Hung...

Can I safely turn my cam off and start over?

Cheers!

Just minor stuff, but it is the latest and greatest Beta Build 15 and will become the official release.

So you should upgrade to it...

Are we talking flicker across the entire screen? Light source flicker? If you change the shutter speed to say 1/60th is the flicker still present?

It was the strobing effect flicker that we're talking about from the LCD. It was weird, changed it to 24fps and the LCD flicker went away, changed it back to 23.98 and it showed up again.

Sean, I'm getting it too. It's the lower third buggery flicker that the earliest build 15 suffered from. It's only happened a few times today, but it's still there.

We figured out the RS-232 issue, so don't lose sleep over that one.

It still seems to turn Varispeed on occasionally after a battery swap... just for the fun of it.

It also no longer prompts with "You have inserted an unformatted digimag, do you want to format?" when a fresh card is inserted. It just ignores the card until it's manually formatted through the menu system. Now the second build 15 way of doing things [format without asking] SUCKED, but I still like the format offering we had in builds 14 and prior...

Haven't had the camera randomly dump takes like build 14 used to do... but we're only half way through the day.

Shall I continue to report bugs as they arise?

IBM would probably go with something as:
"liquid crystal matrix human interface display realigning anomaly realigned"

i still remember wondering what the "serial interface pointing devices" of our vintage IBMs would be... (its the mouse)

The other day, on the previous Build 15, I got some weird digital flicker across the lower part of the LCD & SDI out. It almost look like minidv drop outs. Is that the same thing you guys are talking about, or is there some other strobing issues?

Thanks.
