EDL from Avid to FCP then XML to Redcine?

Workflow:
Shoot Red
make SD pal QT
metacheater create ALE.
import ALE into Avid
Batch import the QT
edit offline
export EDL (red16 template)
import EDL into FCP
export XML
With Crimson help open XML in Redcine.
Export your desired on line matirial.

Not tested in full yet. Any thoughts from the more experienced?

does work but you need to reconnect all the media

Did you mean reconnect in FCP before going to Crimson?

Just tried this but FCP can't reconnect as it's looking for a tape rather than timecoded quicktimes...anyone know what the solution is?
