Hi

I ussauly work on Avid system, so i'm no expert on FCP. but, assuming i work on my proxies (which are related to the original .r3d files as i understand) and then, when i finish my offilne editing, I export an XML from the FCP into Redcine, and then i need to export my .r3d files into Prores QT, untill now, everything is ok. but how do i relink those new QT's into my FCP sequense and start working on my online?

any help would be great,

Thanks

Dori

Take a look at Crimson at http://www.crimsonworkflow.com

It works great and has a very instructive video tour.

Currently, there's no native way to online via XML without a 3rd party program like Crimson or Scratch.

Crimson basically takes an FCP XML (editing list) and generates a REDCine XML, unfortunately they're slightly different. This way REDcine can read the edit list and you can load your FCP timeline into REDCine. Look at the demo video again and you'll understand. Then take a look at Crimson (download it) and you see it has a lot of different choices (not all enabled yet). For example you can have handles on each take (meaning that you have some lead in/out frames at in and out points. This is good if your going to on-line and might need to adjust your takes during that period)
In case you've missed, take a look at the tutorials videos for RED CINE at http://www.red.com/support/release_history/6

Good luck,
