RED Delivery Goals?

This just came to mind,

Do RED have a goal to have every product for direct sale? Or will some products be "pre order only"?

Status quo - All product is direct sale. Reservations are only required if that particular product is opened up for sales before in actual production (as in RED ONE).

RED FLASH DRIVE is still in testing and has not been released for production. So, therefore, would be in a pre-order situation.

Brent, what about spare parts for RED. We have projects in the remote places and we take backups for many of the hardware pieces with us. There is no FeDex where we go.
Can we get spare parts for such things like Audio/connectors board or power board?

Taking the whole backup camera body with us is bit overkill, but having some spares would make me feel better.

Rule of thumb - If the spare part requires you opening up the camera body to replace it, we won't sent it to you and would require that the camera is sent back to RED for repair. And any such attempts to replace an internal board or something would void the warranty on the camera.

Look Brent, scrapping the shoot and sending airplane and helicopter to bring new camera in is as expensive as camera itself. The question is the weight of the hardware.
Also soon our warranty will expire anyway, so excuse me your warranty, but we don’t want to buy the whole camera if we need just a few crucial parts.
We can send our guy though to you to be trained.

BOTTOM PLATE we have and are fulfilling backorders in order of reservation number. DOVETAILS are still not available at this time but we hope to resume shipping them later this week. AC POWER ADAPTOR is resuming shipping today.

So, for those of you with any of the above on backorder, we are shipping them out as quickly as we can.

Ok, I'll specify my question.

Will the RED ONE always be a "pre-order" item. Or will it be pre order until all the reservations is met and then it's a order directly item?

The goal is always to ship everything directly unless there are reservations for an item? Even the camera bodys?
