Will the Red camera be able to take long exposures over time lapse; for instance to create streaky night time lapse footage or other special fx?
if so, any idea on exposure time options?

you mean like the fx in Taxi Driver by Martin Scorsese? i would think so with all control over shutter & frame rate.

well ideally you'd be looking to set the exposure anwhere from a quarter of a second upwards and also adjust the intervals at which it takes them.
if you take 2 second exposures every 2 seconds (for example) that would be good. I can do similar with my DSLR but I have to take the photo's manually.

The team has stated many times that you will be able to do long exposures... how long is yet to be determined.
I've often pushed to include longer exposures (in the 2 to 60+ sec range) even if the image starts to bring in numerous hot pixels, because those can be easily fixed in post relative to the value of the footage you're getting...
