Alright, i think we all had enough of the same old thread. Lets improve on this remarkable offer---Audio

Scarlet is revolution in what it offers picture wise, but dont let audio take a back seat. The majority of cameras even pro ones suffer from bad preamps. They may provide a beautiful image but suck at audio. We want clean scarlet audio, no hum, no hiss, 24bit 2channel is plenty.

Scarlet is already about the size of a decent preamp. To make something that is miniaturized to the level of Scarlet there are necessary compromises. Power is the primary issue and you're not going to get a really top quality preamp without a pretty beefy power supply which of course leads to heat, size, cost and battery life issues. It's kind of like cheap, great, or small: pick one.
