Hmmph... Seems ebay have supspended my account, and the only reason I can presume is because I was refreshing the page at the end of three auctions to see what bid I should put in at the last few seconds, I guess they thought I was using up too much bandwidth.

Thing is though, they've even banned my housemates account as well, neither of us can login to anything using .Net anymore at all (Such as Hotmail).

They all use cookies and when it detects your IP address it means the pages won't load.

Worse still is it won't even let me send the form to email them to ask for my account to be reinstated.

So a word of warning, don't press refresh too much at the end of auctions. Man this is soooo annoying.

Seems like most things are tied into .Net, even gmail... It all seems a bit cruel for such a tiny indescretion. I'm pretty sure they could have sent me a warning to one of my email accounts or something surely? rather than locking up access to basically all the things I use on the web.

Alot of my business email goes through one of these email accounts as well, so I'll probably be missing out on work unless it can be sorted. :(

What a headache

Go to Esnipe.com to learn about their great serivce - eliminates the hassle of manual sniping at really minimal cost.

I'd almost GUARANTEE this has 0 (zero) to do with refreshing an eBay page.
Weren't you complaining about some other internet issue today?

I'd say it probably has something to do with your computer. First thing: check for a virus, 2nd thing check for a trojan, or check your eBay account from a different computer. Your account might of already been hijacked though...

Problem with Esnipe is you still need to have an account, and if I try to register a new account from a different IP address and use anything the same, such as name, address, credit cards, paypal account etc etc they will just ban that account too.

Seems the only thing to do is try and ask them to reinstate the account but apparently it takes about a week to 10 days.

My other problem is simply reporting the issue, because the form on ebay won't allow me to send it and they don't openly give out email addresses to send to either!

Don't seem to able to write a message on here either... perhaps this is a broadband problem that needs looking into... I've tried 3 different computers and about 4 different .Net accounts, all linked to this address and IP address and I can't believe all the computers have got the same virus that could do this... I've only just turned this one on for the first time in a few days something's up anyway.

Edit: maybe I can now.... arrrggghhh think I'll just goto to bed

its not you, they suspended my account too recently. I think they are having
alot of problems with scammers stealing accounts.

Yes, I received an email about that too, problems with scammers stealing accounts. I sold an item recently and I was receiving the same question from different e-bay member identity and then they were asking me why I answered to them and they did not understand, me either.

Don't get me started on this. ebay and Paypal are the anti-christ of customer service! They've held my money hostage since November. All I get is the auto-responder email to complete list A-Z to release funds "for my own protection". Bollocks! I completed their damn verification list in November and simply can not wait on hold for 45+ minutes to speak to a customer service rep.

"Your business is important to us..." my arse!

Gmail is definitely not .Net, and I don't think that Ebay is either...
