Did annyone see it or test it?

David promised it. Was it fun? Did they demo 4k in FCP?

Check out www.freshdv.com there's a list of videos in the center of the main page, and there's one on the Cineform workflows. It doesn't really give you a feel for how revolutionary this thing is, but you get to see it and hear about it.

and so simple, yet so complicated to. I'm falling more and more in love with cineform.

David demo'd it in Premiere. Changed looks on the fly with CINEFORM 4K raw from R3d raw. It was fun.

does anybody remember what David said the conversion time was from Red raw to cineform raw ( or was it 12bit 4:4:4 CINEFORM ) ?
can't remember if it was 12 sec per frame ? or 12 frames per second ?

That would be twelve frames per second. Which is why it is such an attractive alternative to the Redcine process of making Prores files at 1.8 Frames Per Second.

I saw the Cineform RAW @ 4k stuff running at both Cineform and 1Beyonds booths and I was blown away.

Over in the Sony 4K theatre, clips from "Rozencrantz and Gildenstern are Undead" were screened.

My first instinct was to reach for the "dirty" knob on my mental console. The picture from the red camera is just that clean. Then at the RED cinema, we got to see timed clips.

NHK showed their 8K camera. The HD guys for the big broadcast camera companies did not look happy. The red booth was the big hit of the show IMHO.

My boss ordered one.

Once you convert to Cinform RAW is the MB's the same as it is R3d, 28,36MB's?

My understanding is that the file actually increases in size - I believe that is what David said on the show floor. However I do not believe that it is a substantial increase. I might be wrong on this - was trying to get a lot of information quickly. The results did look great.
