Red Log and Transfer breaks P2 import?

Chaps,

Has anyone else had any trouble with importing P2 via log and transfer after installing the RED plugin. I browse but get nothing importing.

Do I need to uninstall it to get P2 working again?

Either way it's a heads up for the beta coders at Red!

How do I uninstall the red plug in to see if it works then?

Okay so it's been a while - finally got round to having a look.

I do not have FXfactory installed and no clips have long names so it's neither of those.

I have noticed though that now I have gone to 6.03 with the REd L&T plugin I can't inport P2 on that either - so it must be a 6.03 L&T plug in issue.

If someone can help me uninstall the Red plugin I can narrow it down to other things - but I can't seem to find it in plugins etc.

Any ideas?

goto /library/Application Support/ProApps/MIO/RAD/Plugins
and delete the RED.RADPlugin folder to uninstall the RED L&T plugin

Ok uninstalled the plugin and P2 works again - so it ir a redplug in error...

can you provide the exact directory structure (from top directory to P2 files)
that you are trying to import. I don't want the files, just the
path names, etc. e.g. for a RED clip it might be /Users/reinhart/REDClips/A004_C001_070412.RDC/A004_C001_070412_001.R3D

With the redplugin installed and a p2 store connected I can no longer get thunbnails in the L and T window. Path there would be desktop/no name (without red plug in this displays all the clips in the structure below). The same happens on drives I've copied to - example Socrates/rushes/reel_1(where I've renamed no-name to reel-1).

Usually the to level of the p2 volume is enough to bring up all the clips within the volume. Once the redplugin is installed it doesn't matter how deep I browse into the structure no clips show up.

I was Having the same problem as Jeff bit in my case FCP just crashed!! I open the L&T preferences an select the P2 option and everything works now just fine!! I guess the L&T looks at the first option which is the RED one!!! just change to P2!! I have to change it manually every time I want to transfer P2 material!!!

I don't know how the default is selected (I'll look into that too) but I'm
glad to hear it's working now. I'm hoping this solves Jeff's problem too.

Having said that, I'd suggest downloading the newly release installer and redoing the installation, don't worry about deleting the old one.

It's been tested extensively with the P2 plugin and seems to work just find. If you're still having trouble, could it possibly be that you have FxFactory 1.0 installed? It's known to cause problems with L&T plugins.

I am wondering how one can change the source preference in the log and transfer window. I have the RED log and transfer plug in and am unable to ingest P2 material. I tried clicking, right clicking, click-dragging and nothing seemed to work so far.
