It would be super nice if the camera would record the 4.5k images so that in post we could take the shake out of a shot and still keep good resolution on the image...can this be done already?
or have an OIS system built in...

It will record 4.5K, but not onboard to Redcode RAW - uncompressed RAW to a RAID system only...

If you want to shoot REDCODE RAW, there is currently no 4.5K option.
That said, you could reframe/remove shake from a 4K image and crop to a 3.5K image with tons of resolution left over. Or just not have a shaky camera. :)

So IYHO cropping would be fine for resolution and 2k master?

I don't recall mentioning 2K...? In the end, it's all up to you and what's acceptable for you.
