The plus side of AI Nikkors seems to be that they are often cheaper and have a longer focus draw, but given many people would be investing in the 17-35mm AF the focus draw would potentially be a moot point.
(Unless I'm wrong in my interpretation of what focus draw means; the ammount the focus ring physically turns - Or is it infact an optical term or something?).
If one has a follow focus setup that can be adapted to work equally well on the 17-35mm AF as if it did with cine lenses then that same ff would be suitable for other AF's yeah? In some respects it might be easier to have all AF's or all AI's rather than a mixture that would mean altering the ff each time a lens change occurs, no? Or am I way off the mark here?
