Hey, I was wondering how I could see the videos that were shown on the projectors under the Red Tent somehow.
I have been wanting to see the whole thing of "Crossing the Line" but haven't found it anywhere.
Jim, could you put it on a web server somewhere?

Yeah me too; along with other people. But there seems to be no reply to the request.

Hello Jim!!! Are you there? I would still like to see if I can see the Red Reels shown at NAB.
If you can't show them, just let me know. If not ESPECIALLY let me know! :-)

Jim's not here right now- please leave a message. And I suspect his answer would be if you wanted to see the NAB reels you should have come to NAB like everyone else.

Noah, I get your point, but that was not an option. Out shooting and three kids to look for :)
But if I'd been in the vicinity, why not?

I suspect it's a combo of several reasons- number one rights. Crossing the Line is a Peter Jackson movie with music from King Kong- that would require some sort of fees to get out. The NAB 08 reel included clips from several major unreleased motion pictures like The Argentine (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0892255/) and Beyond a Reasonable Doubt (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1183251/)- so again a rights issue. And furthermore I'd imagine Jim and co would prefer viewers to see the proper 4K projection in the manner it is intended rather than endlessly pick it apart from a less than ideal 1080p ProRes version or god forbid a YouTube flash version. It's just one of those 'you had to be there' sorta things.

The booth at NAB was totally packed with folks. And RED made no secret that this is the place to see their footage. So now you have a whole year to make your reservations for next NAB.

I think the RED board may still be on punishment. We did kinda behave badly during NAB.

What I would like to see posted are the featurettes that were playing while we were standing in line to see the 4K footage. With all of the noise I couldn't hear them very well.
