RED ONE is still a great camera! Now I know Epic has got some people's panties in a bunch and I can understand why. It's like unwrapping that toy robot you wanted for Christmas and it's totally bad-ass... That is, untill your younger brother opens up his preasent and it's an even flasher robot with bigger missiles. But that's how it goes, if only we could get Apple to do the same thing!

I think EPIC will be cine camera and I don’t think you will be able to configure it as a run and gun type of setup?

So for guys that are only in to the film making it is good choice.
5K especially if it will be 5.5K will give you clean 4K resolution so this camera will last for some time to come. Dynamic Range improvements of the sensor will be probably passed to all REDs as an upgrade, so current RED ONE owners will be happy.
