Menus suggestion:

Having been caught out with non-standard menu settings on a DigiBeta deck recently, I thought what would be useful to help avoid this.

So first we have the factory settings which presumeably will be some sort of recessed button hard reset.

Next would like a saveable "User Default" which may or may not be different to the factory settings as decided by the user. I'd like a soft reset to this as a quick one button press (possibly two simultaneous button press to prevent accidental activation).

Then finally, a menu page which only lists the menu items which are changed from the User Default. So it's really easy to scan down this probably shorter list of non-User Default settings to check for errors. If there were many changes, then it would make sense to make this the User Default.

Note, that I'm not thinking of frequently changed operational things like white balance (when shooting RGB). More the sort of things which you set up before a shoot, and then want to avoid changing by accident to maintain consistency?

Does that make sense, or am I overcomplicating things?

A "Status Page" containing all that data in a not editable form. Good idea IMHO.

Why not-editable? If you see a setting which is wrong, wouldn't you want to change it there and then rather than drill down through menus.
