They've changed the name to Creative Suite Production Premium, changed the name of DVRack to Onlocation and included it with Premier Pro CS3. Not bad considering what it costs stand alone from Serious Magic.
DvRack HD2 is still a seperate product from what I can tell until it's integrated into Premier Pro this summer.

And it all comes on 36 CDs just for fun.
And I'm assuming native 4k support in Premiere once again right?

It's really annoying to see Adobe taking product design cues from Microsoft. Annoying activation systems, six different versions of the product, etc.

I can't agree with u more, chris. I think adobe is loosing touch with their customers. It's very unfortunate, but this is a fine example of traditionally run companies not understanding the market place. But forcing their customer to accept their way...i really hope i don't have to bite the apple, but time will tell.

not so sure I would agree based on a little test driving. IMHO they are going to take some folks to school on the software side.

I guess it was a little harsh offhollywood, I will concede to that...i just notice that they make lets say some major advancements in one particular product this time it looks to be Photoshop, and minor ones in others; improvements yes, but typical business methodology of software manufacturers.
The breath of Adobe products are certainly unmatched and I've been a fan of theirs...but would like to see large steps instead of tiny ones. I will say dynamic link (previous version) was a large step and a welcome one at that. RED has been a breadth of fresh air on the way companies focus on the voice of the customer.
My verdict is still out on the new product line, since details are still sketchy, but if they left out batch rendering in PP CS3; it would a major oversight in my opinion. But, hey does it really matter? Most likely not. One thing I did notice is if u have a apple based computer; the new product line from adobe - i think AE will take advantage of more memory; but window based computers are still limited to 3GB of RAM...interesting stuff and will be part of my overall decision on my next cap x expenditures...

Is there a new type of activation system on CS3, or the same one they've been using for a while?

Display settings option and 709 color space seems useful.

Considering what they are bundling, it appears they are actually lowering the price. Didn't the previous pro suite bundle cost 2199 or something?

I think that was the bundle with Flash Professional 8?? When I purchased my bundle it was the Adobe Production Studio Premium, upgrade price was $650; but didn't include Flash 8 Pro. Flash 8 was incorporated after the first initial release..now the upgrade is $799 for me, which gets me a copy of Flash CS3, Onlocation CS3 (serious magic), ultra CS3 (serious magic). Soundbooth is included, but audition is eliminated. All in all a good deal for people with the Production Studio Premium.
