Hi Folks,
I think we are a group of professionels. All working in same business, everyone of us is somehow a cinematographer. Feeling very proud to be part of it. I think many important people outside are looking on us. And in such a big and important group, with such a powerfull tool, with so much knowledge and intelligence....
...wouldn´t it be good to write the big names of the biz in right way? I feel a little ashamed, everytime I´m reading the title of this thread http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=12368
Dear mods, could someone change it right way?
Many thanks,
regards
Olli
EDIT--> If you change the other thread to the right name, you can remove this one....

I don't know if things once they have been done should be altered, for the rest I fully agree.

Tafkar,
Sometimes your Dadaistic utterings are simply beyond us mere mortals. Nothing personal. It goes with being light years ahead. Keep on posting we`ll catch up.

Dogday, with all respects. I never thought to teach anyone, neither being liteyears ahead. I´m not at all. Standing here, both feet on the ground, learning while reading posts. From anyone, included you.
I´m reading this forum since nearly two years. I´m not one of these big posters. Call me lurker if you want.
Maybe my posts feel sometimes a little strange to you. Maybe I´m not one of theses techi-posters. Maybe I´m not needed to let this forum getting ahead. But I´m a guy paying respect to everyone. If you got my posts wrong: I´m sorry, never wanted something like that.
I will keep on posting my way. If you will have this strange feeling again, please remember my intention...

Thanks Dog,
that makes me smile again.
Maybe my posts seems to be dada sometimes. Not shure if it´s meant like that or just lost/dadad in translation.
But worst thing on this here actually --> We moved totally offtopic!

Olli,
Are you concerning by that Spielberg write? Don't be because there is somewhere something true in those lines. Even if they are "rude". And don't forget that Spielberg is still editing his movies on a Steinbeck (on a 35 mm workprint) he never accepts to edit offline on non-linear system. He propably the last disciple of the "old way". No worries, and it's ok to be more concern by the feel rather than the techno.

No it´s even quite more simple. Look at the title of that thread. Its called "Steven Speilberg" and not "Steven Spielberg". That´s all. Nothing more, nothing less.......
Non dada, no ulterior motives, only a thing in orthography.

Basically, Olli is saying if you're going to talk about the man, his work and his philosophy, spell his name correctly?

Off course he has a editor...Spielberg don't cut his movies himself. Just said that he make a workprint in 35mm and cut it on steinbeck. Cut and splice the 35 mm print....
