THANK YOU. Received my camera on Friday May 2nd, 2008. Saturday I brought it over to Clairmont Camera in North Hollywood. I'm friends with the film camera techs over there so they checked it all out with me and they customized a few parts on the camera pretty quickly.
they cut the rods down and mounted my battery plate from the production bundle to my universal mount.
I'm very happy with the camera.

Hi Shawn,
Congratulations on getting your camera. I have always enjoyed going to your website and checking out your photos and other work. You seem to have a great group of people that you work with and I am looking forward to what you create with your Red.
Cheers from the Deep South,

Hey Shawn,
Congratulation,
Your RED ONE's set-up looks like mine.
Anyway, my Rep told me that my bottom plate takes exactly 2 weeks. But, 10 days latter everything showed up.
CHEERS!

-chosei, i like the minimal set-up for sure. I keep the big accessories at home until I do a shoot with a crew. but for myself this is pretty much all I need, with a few extra lenses and clip on mattebox and little follow focus. My goal was to have it weigh the same as my Aaton and that it does actually 2 pounds lighter with this set-up.
-to mike my payment cleared about a month ago.
-to haskell, what car were you driving? I've been driving with veggie oil for about two years. love it. too bad the oil companies are lobbying hard against some viable alternative fuels, even if they are made out of garbage.
-Andrew thanks for checking out my site, i haven't updated it as much as I use to but I'm hoping to change that now that I have some projects done, and the bolex is great i still use it regularly, someone gave me about 50 rolls of 100ft daylight loads and I still haven't used half of them.

Love the lightweight setup! Just a lens, LCD and battery. Perfect.
