Have you ever seen $40,000 in $1 dollar bills stacked up? :)

(and that's without the lens...)

No, but I saw 3k once, sterling. It was sitting on a table wearing only an elastic band. It looked good, pocket sized.

edit: I`ve just posted this and realised (as I wrote "pocket sized", to be precise) 3k is what scarlet may cost ($), which is coincidental. Scarlet is also pocket sized, which I was also not thinking about as I wrote above line. Not wishing to look like a fanboy, I should point out, 3k cash, will also fit into a large coat pocket (if tightly rolled), the story is true, any implied Red endorsement accidental, and I am sad for never having even seen a bigger cash wad (or is that average? lets not go there), but feeling better for knowing 4digits will buy 3k motion capture. Cleared that up. I`m now wishing scarlet was around when I did see that 3k (sterling), so I could be shooting in Red stereoscopic already

Yeah, I saw it the last five or six times it was posted here. :)

I wonder how this camera would do for long-exposure astrophotography?

i think it has 1 scond max exposure .... so it's not good for astrophotography

It's a scanning back camera, basically a flatbed scanner with a lens. Pretty much worthless for astrophotography.
