November Two Tango hangin' with the Kiwis...very cool indeed!
EDIT: Awengert, you reserved five (5) RED's? Very cool...what do you plan to do with five? My two are jealous of your five!
EDIT2: Awengert, a quick Google search answered my question...

I think I'm trapped in a spy story...
Any super-tele-lowlight-outoffocus pictures of the meeting?

Although I'm based in Auckland I was very tempted to fly to Wellington and try the trusty "Telegram for Mr Jannard" trick to get on to the set.

I can't wait until Jarred et al get back and see how much we've been stalking them.

Jarred was online, on RED User this morning. I saw his name in RED on the home page name list this morning...unless someone else was using his computer...

LOL you bring that plane, an eight foot giant and the hottest camera on the planet to New Zealand and you think you won't be noticed!

I hope they didn't fly to NZ to shoot in a green screen room. Man, that's what Hollywood is for!
"I got this great idea... We'll fly to New Zealand, shoot in a green screen, then replace the background with LA! It'll be written in up in all the trade journals and we'll be considered geniuses"

Whilst they're in Welly, and with us having Red One #23, you would've hoped they'd pop in to the Wellington Rocket branch to show Dave and the crew some Red camera goodness, as well as to sample some of that well known Rocket hospitality. ;)
Hell, I'm sure all of us in the Auckland office would like to pop on down too to see our precious...I mean a fantastic piece of hardware.

What lucky men Jim and Jarred are to meet Peter Jackson, ah what I wouldn't do to be in the middle of that conversation.

Thanks! It was a fun mission.
With WETA confirmed as the VFX house dealing with James Cameron's AVATAR, could there have been another agenda on this trip?
A WETA/Cameron/RED (x2 for 3D filming) pre-production meeting?!
