Hey,
I'm a photographer from New York that shoots a Leaf Valeo 22Mp back on a Hasselblad H1. The software that works with the digital back has under and over exposure alarms. I think it would be great to incorporate this into the Red. I've attached a jpeg of what the alarms look like when something is under exposed and losing the black detail. The same goes for blown out detail as well it just shows up a different color. I figure that with a small external monitor you could have it set to Show alarms and on your eye piece you could have them turned off so you could always peak at your monitor to see if anything is blown out or under.
People have told me that the RED will have a histogram. I don't know if many people have tried to judge exposure using a histogram but it doesn't work that well. They are very misleading. This works way better then a histogram.
Just a thought.....
In the Jpeg yellow color is Under and the green is Over
