Hi
Were looking to shoot a feature in October so we may therefore have to hire a Red or use an alternative...
But we are looking at the following lenses:-
Would these be suitable for the Red?
New Zeiss Nikon Mounted lenses
25mm t2.8
35mm t2
50mm t1.4
85mm t1.4
100mm t2
Any other recommendation at budget not to break the bank? (approx 3.5k ukp including VAT)

They are all good lenses, but no better than the equivelent Nikkors that can be had used for 1/2 the price. Regardless of if you get the Zeiss or Nikkor primes I highly recomend getting a 17-35mm Nikkor, it's the best (Still) wide angle lens you can put on Red.

So are Nikkor - Nikons?
We plan to shoot a feature in October so it looks like we will have to use either our existing camera or a Hi Def Camera with adaptor...
And 35mm Lenses if we get the right lenses for our subsequent purchase of a Red System would be better...
Im not a DOP so would appreciate advice on which Lenses to get that would be suitable to use with Mini35,MovieTube,M2 system,SG Pro and Brevis?
Some of these say zoom lense not suitable is this it wont work at all?
Thanks Elvin for your help

Nikkor's are indeed Nikon lenses - Nikon is the brand name for camera bodies, Nikkor the brand name for lenses.
Zoom lenses will work but tend to be less sharp, slower and breath more. If I were to recommend a prime lens set I'd start with:
50mm f1.4
One of: 85mm f1.8, 85mm f1.4 (more expensive but better for low-light), 105mm f1.8
35mm f1.4
20mm f2.8
Then, to expand, you might add:
180mm f2.8
14mm f2.8
Evin will doubtless add that you might be better off replacing the 20mm f2.8 and 35mm f1.4 with a 17-35mm f2.8 zoom - and he'll have a very good point! They're not cheap, but then neither are the 35mm f1.4 and the 20mm f2.8...

As I say not having a Red on order,
Im left to either
1) hire a Red system for the planned October shoot
2) Or to use a HVX200,Z1E or H1 with adaptor and 35mm lenses thats
my plan....
Option 2 is slightly preferred with the plan to then use on my Red....
How much would this lot come to the starting set and then the additions? not including the camera
