Hi guys,

as promess I'am tryng to get up and do some test of the Canon lenses, sorry but for now only from my garden, and one lens only the superspeed 85mm.

This lens I love for more then one reason but the blur thath can acieve this lens is great, in this photo there is no color correction or post of any kind, just manual focus and a circular polarized filter because I shot this in the midle of the afternoon, very quick shots no set up no ligthing at all, just point and shoot.

Awesome, Ketch! It gives us a lovely sense of what the lens can do. Let's hope the Birger Engineering people get that Canon control system nicely working with the Red as soon as possible.

I for one vote for more pictures of the cute girl. If you do more lens tests on her, please let us know ;)

That is some shallow DOF.

Attaching images works but you can also upload your images to www.imageshack.us and then use IMG tags to post the images.

Ketch, if you don’t want to upload files there you could just cut the small portion of the image far edge or corner, 100% crop (one to one pixel mapping) and post it here.
Also pictures like billiard balls are great format (wide screen) because it is what lenses have to work with on RED.
Thanks! A lot for posting these great pictures.

The 85mm f/1.2 rocks. It makes beautiful images. And... it works well with our system. More soon...

Erik, are you working on Z/I/F control switches handle, as well?
Alternatively it would be great if some, off the shelf, zoom rocker switches will be working with your Canon adapter/control unit on top of the control box that you are preparing.

Our interface specification is open, and we will work with third parties that wish to adapt existing controllers to interact with our unit. More announcements to come at NAB...

Thanks guys,

unfortunately my web site is not up yet, will by NAB, the tru glory of this and every image it is best viewed, appreciate and enjoyed on ful size raw files, this ones were about 7mb each, shot with my 1dIIn, so imagine the color saturation this lenses will produce with RED.

More to come soon, much more, I this time set up a photoshoot with all the prime L series lenses to see direct point of view of each focal lens in mm. scale.
