Anybody in the Atlanta area up for getting together over coffee or a beer sometime? I think there's a lot to be gained if we network with each other.

There will be times that we might:

need each other for back-up equipment
need a 2nd camera with operator or tech
actually refer each other because one of us is already booked
rent each other's accessories and lenses

and perhaps most important of all, use each other as a database that can swing us up the learning curve that much quicker.

I think getting together in the next month or so would be great, because once they do arrive, we're going to be pretty busy.

Anyone interested?

I'm a film/TV editor working here in Atlanta with other feature film and TV editors - we're interested in seeing how we can support films that are shooting on RED and figuring out the most effective workflow for the media (both on Avid and FCP).

Does anybody have some footage from the RED camera they'd be willing to share that we can test out?

What would be even better is if I could be on set for a shoot and get to see the media handling process from start to finish. If anybody could do that it would be huge.
