Using JL Cooper Spectrum, seems OK, would love to try out the Tangent Wave when it ships.

For the price, Tangent is going to be very tempting!

Has anyone tried the Wave allready?
The price is so good that i might change the CP200s for the wave if it does the same things.

Also interested but someone warned me that it could be a playmobil toy!
Has somebody touched the board at NAB?
Is it ok compared to a cp200?

I was stupid, i had it in front of me at NAB but i didnīt pay attention. It looks plastic, yep. But the cp200 is not really the smoothest panel out there and costs much more.

I have used both and the Tangent controller seems to be more responsive, smoother and over all better in quality the way its maid and the way it works with Color.
In my experience i have had disappointing conversations with JL Cooper the company when i call their headquarters and after meeting them at a couple of events held in Vegas NAB and LA.
JL Cooper just does not seem well trained in representing their product out in the field.
Thats just my thoughts on it.

you linda just have to figure out which works best for you. Try visiting some post houses and see what's what.
BigLu - THANK YOU!!! You know what for.

The Tangent panels work great with Scratch. We will be showing one of the prototype Tangent Wave panels working with Scratch at our Siggraph booth in LA in a couple of weeks if anybody is in the area and would like to swing by...

The Tangents 200er Series work very fine with Scratch. I never tested the Jl Cooper Panels. The Wave is a kind of plastic toy with a lot o functions.
I would prefer to use this on Set but not in an Grading Enviroment.

Via a dealer, I was informed the Tangent Wave has been delayed until early September (but obviously is available for Scratch). But functionality at this is not compatible with Apple Color until Apple provides the need USB driver in a forthcoming update. Price remains at $1599.
