"RED "EXPRESS CARD" FLASH Module $500
Includes:
Camera Read / Write Module for Express Card flash media
(Media is not included)"

Among other flash media..this website lists the 16gb express card for 499.99. I'm lovin how much cheaper these are than p2 cards..

I like the idea of not having to deal with plugging in extra wires..just pop it into the slot and away you go (like p2 and powerbooks).

they were corrected with "Update: Transcend just wrote us a rather angry note claiming that the price we quote here is way off. Straight out of the horse's mouth, this 16 gigger will only set you back $256.45, with a 2GB version available for as little as $50."

16gb for 256.45??
now it makes me wonder if these cards are even fast enough.

Oh, wow! If the cards are fast enough for 4K Redcode RAW, and a 16GB card is less than $300... This would be fantastic! The benefits of a P2 solid state workflow without the price gouging!!!

mmm 35 min recording for 1000 bucks solid state isn't that bad.

no good for reality tv... but awsome for steady cam/car mount.

actually at 2k raw that would be sweet.
