Doesn't anyone see it as a problem that the Camera needs to be send to usa for repair. Why doesn't RED setup some service facilities around Europe and middle east to solve urgent problems...

Perhaps because they are a rather new company and have been focused on making this camera instead of opening offices around the world. Give them some time to grow. Cameras have only been out 8 months...

Europe? Where is that?

It's the lumpy place with lots of languages between England and Moscow, and there's some countries with good food above the big salty lake between Africa and the lumpy place.

There was a plan to open office in Prague, Czech Republic (in case you are wondering where that is: it is one of the beer capitals of Europe).
I have a broken charger and if my local repairman canīt fix it, I rather buy a replacement for USD 400 here in Vienna than shipping it back and forth for roughly the same amount.
A European service point would certainly make things a lot easier.

I send Sean at Red an email, FedEx turns up at my door the next day, two days it's at Red, few days more it's fixed, two days more and FedEx ring my door bell again. So no i don't see it as a problem.
