DOCUMENTARY TITLE: 12 timmar (12 hours)
During four nights in July we are going to collaboratively produce one of the first (if not the first) documentaries in Sweden shot on Red. It’s going to be an interesting project in many ways; ranging from an extreme transparency in the production process (you are going to see a lot of material online) to an unconventional way of producing and editing.
There is only one thing missing; the Red cameras. First we planned to do this with the Sony cameras we got ourselves, but as the project grew we got to the point where there’s actually only one option - shooting this film with the Red. If we want to be cutting edge in the use of the web, in the editing and the music we have to be cutting edge on the cinematography and workflow side too.
We have no budget what so ever (5000 dollars put in by ourselves), which is totally crazy. But by bringing young, hungry and talented people together to form this film we are going to create something that’s never done before. There is a real challenge in proving the fact that you no longer need obscene amounts of money for a production like this.
So, do you own a Red One? (or would like to sponsor the 10 000 dollars in renting fees). Do you live in Stockholm? Or would you like to spend a few days in sunny Stockholm with fellow Red users?
We’d love to have you onboard.
Did we forget something?
Well the subject of the film maybe. In short it's a modern mix of documentary, music video and video art. During a 45 minutes long journey through the Stockholm night we encounter the people that are there because of their profession as well as the people who are there for the joy, the love or the fellowship. Through the eyes of these people we portrait the happiness, the frustration, the shallowness... (For a longer brief, contact me at:jagvill@12timmar.se)
