Hi all, below is a link to a crash scene that was shot on four Reds...fun night!
It was posted through iWeb, and sometimes the quicktime doesn't load, just hit refresh, and it will come up.

Looks like a lot of fun! Camera 3 seems to be useless until the end of the shot but camera 2 and the Camera Car shots were awesome! It will cut together nicely.

camera 3 was EPK, which was also shot on the RED.

Man, that was fun!
Camera 4 is still a bit shocking, even though you know what's coming.
Thanks for sharing.

Cool some questions Colin...
Was cam 1 remote, stunt went well but looks too close if it hadnt :-)
Also what was the stabilised tracking rig for cam 4, looks quick, smooth and jeez it stopped quick .. (and a f@cking good shot!)
Lastly was the hero car remote? looked like a pretty deadly gag for a stuntie if not!
cheers

Great stuff. Too bad it looks like it was too dark for some slow-mo.

cool. it almost looked like the red on the crane car was going to buy it when the car flipped over. watching the crane car maneuver was just as fun as watching the crash.

Cool takes, even though the 1st and 3rd look a bit uncessary. Just my 2 cents, of course.

Very impressive shots. I know nothing about how such stunts are done, just curious... How predictable is the path of the crashing car? How fast was it going? Is that real-time or speed changed in post? Was there a lot of weight put into the roof of that car, to make it top heavy and more likely to flip over? It looks like there might be cables under the parked car holding it down on the ground? Looks pretty scary to be anywhere near that collision.

Look at the rear of the driving car in the collision. A mousetrap-esque jack pops out to flip the vehicle.
Cars are "fairly" predictable in stunts like these. People do this stuff for a living and they get pretty good at it. That said, there are always risks. Explosives, crashes, stunts... etc. There are risks, but they're managed, controlled risks.
Nice looking crash, well conceived. Looks like fun!

You know it's against the law to leave the scene of the crime
