With one week to go.. *Teehee!!!** I was just wondering if rental houses would be willing to speak up and let us know

1) Where you are
2) When RED says you should expect your cameras
3) Projected Rates

I hope this doesn't break Jarred's advertising rules, but I for one would appreciate a list of available rental sources. Not all of us could justify a purchase so we'll have to live vicariously through rental owners in our area in anticipation. :sorcerer:

Thanks!

I am in the Berkshires, MA. If anyone wants a long term rental from June/July through November, 2007, let me know. I will have the RAW port option but no lenses, flash options, or EVF.

As for the rate, well, I'm really just looking to pay for my RED Zoom and maybe a View Factor mattebox. You do the math....

We will be renting our REDs out at HD Cinema Group. We are located on the west coast but can ship anywhere.

I have already received quite a few calls so if you need them for a long period of time be sure to get on our list. We can't say for sure obviously but it looks like we will be receiving them in June or July.

We're still waiting on ETA's from Red, but I would hope to start getting our first cameras in May. We'll have a very good package price, or a la carte pricing for anything Red offers.

Will have one camera available for rental around September 2007, through Redman Movies & Stories in Salt Lake City, Utah. It will be available as a complete package including lenses and on-set tech/assist cart. No RED-RAW option. Additional cameras will be available at later dates.

Dates, packages, availability are all subject to change post NAB.

Better than Panavision's $20K per week for the Genesis. To be fair that includes everything, including Primo lenses. But still.

Isn't that the day rate for a cinealta EFP package:bleh:

I'll be renting out my two cameras here in Tokyo, Japan, as soon as they arrive. It'll be a full package aside from lenses (which I can organise if you wish for whatever it costs me to rent them) and should include the EVF, LCD, RedRail (at minimum), sticks, FF, matte box, batteries with charger, as well as a standard 3.5" HDD budgeted in which you get to keep with your original footage on it. More info once the cameras ship, including rental prices (in Japanese Yen). Click on my film company name in my sig for more info.

RED #8 will be available for rental if I come along with it as producer, director, DP, cinematographer, or as a consultant on the set/on location. A list of RED #8 lenses and accessories will be available shortly. Delivery of RED #8 is dependent on RED's delivery schedule, but I would guess delivery to be after NAB, sometime later this month. After a week of on location test footage shooting, and a few days of rigorous testing by a team of pros in L.A. (more info shortly), RED #8 and me will be available for rent under the conditions I described in my first sentence of this post - at least until the projects that me and my alliances have in development are greenlit for production. More info on those projects shortly...

EDIT: My second camera (#700), which should be available sometime mid-Summer, will be available on the same conditions - me along with it.

Same deal here. My two are available fully kitted (lenses are still being decided upon) with me or one of our staff along as shooter, dp, director, etc., etc., or as camera chaperone. Price is still wait and see for now.

We'll have a couple available in San Francisco (and the surrounding areas) with packages for all of your needs at reasonable rates ... and we're happy working together with others in the area to get the exact package to match your tastes. And don't let the number to the left fool you, thanks to an aforementioned cooperation we'll have one available much sooner than that.

Gibby,

Jake and I are also availble for location security services. And if you need.... he has his own auto collimator for flange focale adjustments.
Oh yeah and for testing of pet food safety.

Right on...and we can raid Petsmart daily to hook Jake up with some cool doggy treats...a few Yorkies. Have you and Jake both had your rabies and distemper shots? He won't be collermating no autos though!

He doesn't have any Mississippi Leghound in him though, right?

Oh yeah... All shots have been administered (roommate is a vet tech.).
No Yorkies though as he is fiercely protective of his own kind. He just doesn't like "people" in his face and isn"t very selective about his bitches (can't imagine where he picked up such bad habits).
No Mississippi Leghund in there. Pappy is a 130lb. pure German Rottenweiler and mommy we believe is German shepard and Bernese mountain dog mix.
