Greetings RedUsers!

Ford Austin here at Wonderhowto.com. With the aid of IndieRentals in Hollywood, Mike and I are working on a round of RED One video tutorials covering workflow issues.

If you want us to cover anything specific, as it relates to the MAC, REDCINE, Final Cut, After Effects, etc....Let me know and I will add it to our list.

Thanks for the input,

ford

Will you be waiting until Build 16?

By friends at Indie Rentals in Hollywood have promised that we will cover any way way out there changes from 15 to 16. For now, we have done some very FX heavy test shots to use across all post programs for the MAC.

Someone on here says build 16 comes out in a week, right? We will most likely touch on the subtle differences within the video and avoid ramping up and entirely new shoot...unless the build has giant advancements relating to post.

We haven't ever used that one, but if enough people have problems, we will definitely cover Apple Color. What is it that you are trying to figure out? What setting did you shoot on?

Regarding Apple color... What I'd like to figure out is the colorspace-lut-whatever mess. Settings on Redcine dpx output and Color input.
Also timecode issues.

Hi,

I'd love to see a confrom between FCP (pal) and Avid DS (1080p or 2K) via Crimson adn Redcine. that would be unreal.
Thanks,
Dec

As for Color - cover DPX import in 25fps. There are a work around and it's nice for us non tech's to actually see how that's done.
