Things are definitaly going to change. A lot!
Right now we are in the process of adapting our production company for new workflows. We are building a 1200 sqm studio/posthouse/offices with the goal of submitting the northern european commercial film market with a dedicated digital pre/digital aquisition/post workflow.
The studio is located 500 meters away from Swedish master director Mauritz Stillers 1910 studio in Lidingo, Stockholm, Sweden, hence working name Stiller Studios.
The studio will be ready aug 07, and will {hopefully} run 3 Red Ones. It will have a pre-lit 450 sqm greenscreen and all the other goodies. We will also use it as a base for our "shot were you want in the world" product aimed att ad agencies and clients who wants great locations but not neccesarily 35-men crew.
In doing this, we will also need to update our professional network for new workflows. And as we are on the case, why not make it international. We do, after all, shoot half of our stuff abroad.
So, with the goal of presenting our clients with the best human resources on digital film production, I think it would be a good idea to get in touch with very experienced film people with a track record. Dops, post, color correction, directors etc. Some of you I've already met, and I hope that we could get together once the Red is out. NAB? A sort of "Professional and commercialmaking Red users club"
What do you guys think? To narrow? To elitistic? Or the one thread we {or at least us commercial guys} all been waiting for...
Let me know.
All the best
