Now, that I'm spending a small fortune on my red camera, can anyone in LA or SF, recommend some production insurance to cover- lost, stolen, and broken RED camera gear?
What would be an estimated range for $30,000 in Gear on a 30 day shoot in Fiji with a $1000-2000 deductible?
Any contact names, numbers, websites would be great. Thanks.

in general - production insurance is usally equal or less $ by the year then if you just buy it for 30 days...
i'll be looking at insurance at NAB - will get names, #'s next week then post em here

One place in LA, name escapes me at the moment, quoted around $1K to cover the RED + $7K worth of accessories for a year - that didn't include international though

Greg, thanks for bringing that up. We definitely need to insure the camera and every piece that goes with it. Heck, I'd put a tracking device on it if I could. Hmmm, not a bad idea.

i would love to go with the camera even if i wasn't renting it out with my own DP or COing services..
I know its unusual for a renter to send someone with the camera.. but first off.. i know the camera will be safe.. and they will have someone who knows whats up with the camera, if they dont on set.
dont mind the 44 magnum holstered to my hip.. its only there in case someone wants to go crazy with my beloved
