Other Lenses on Red

I am very new in Red, and somebody told me that I can use lenses other that come with Red (3 Zoom lenses available on Red Store). And that I need an adaptor for it.

Is it true (sorry if it is silly question) and if yes, where can I get those adaptors, and what type of lenses to they cover.

You can use just about any Nikon lens with the mount sold at Red.com, plus any PL mount lens that covers a S35mm area for 4k or S16mm and S35mm for 2k. Also, there is the B4 mount adapter for ENG lenses.

And not to forget the p+s Universal adaptor, that lets you use pretty much any lens system you can think of.

There might also be a Birger mount at some point, that lets you use Canon lenses, and takes advantage of the built-in electronics. Just look through the threads, you'll find lots of useful information there.

By reading your comments are you saying for the lenses available at the red store? You don't need an adapter for them. The camera has pl mount. The lenses are pl mount. You need an adapter for other lenses with mounts other than pl hense the two responses above...
