Hi, anyone can help on finding a matte box or accessory to deflect rain for the Arri or other matte boxes?

I have used several of their Rain covers and like them all, you can get one that it is not at all made for your purpose but that thanks to the size can work just fine, done that on Still shoots were the girls are running under the rain, and even so my 1Ds III and "L" series lenses are weather resistant I prefer to be safe.

Rotary type rain deflectors as well as the compressed air type can be found at many rental houses. I would recomend calling Clairmont. If they don't have what you need, then can tell you where to get it.

Hi All, thanks for the quick response from you guys.

This will be used in a feature film to be shot in Indonesia. Can you point me to the manufacturers of any of these compressed air type? Or I have to rent from the rental houses?

The slight vibrations of the rain deflector I used last week parked the harddrive heads...

CF or removing the drive from the body is the solution..

Steven, I got in touch with them. They said they will be showing one that fit with the Arri MB20 in Cinec Munich. So no test.
