Am I eligible for the EPIC upgrade?

I paid for my R1 last week (s/n 1912) and wondered if I was eligible for the EPIC trade in later on. I have been assuming I am (after cueing so long), but after listening to some stuff online (fxguide I think) , I`m worried it only applies to people who had already recieved cameras before N.A.B. I`m hoping this isn`t the case, but does anyone know the truth? :detective2:

Even if you buy a RED ONE the day before Epic is released you are still eligible for an upgrade.

Yes, as a Red One owner, you're now in line to upgrade to the Epic. Your place in line is determined by the date your Red One ships to you.

That would be great (are you sure?), I just got the impression that there was a cutoff point after NAB08 (based on an fxguide discussion). Maybe I should assume fxguide are right (to avoid disappointment later), or just contact someone at Red to be sure? Anyway, thankyou

Mike updated that the next week, saying that it wasn't pre-NAB after all.

I'm pretty sure I heard it from other sources as well since.

Still, be good to have a definitive word from RED just in case.

Yep, RED One is eligible for 17.5K trade-in towards EPIC, no matter when you buy it. So, there's no reason to not buy RED.
