1/2" chips? It's about time.
They had me worried there for a while with the 1/4" business.
And if they're clearvid CMOS, well that's even better.

That would be pretty cool, but I want to know when, and how much.
I'd still probably go for the HVX though.

Looks like it supports 72050p, but not 72060p? Wheres the NTSC love? I'd much rather go for a Hyrdra's HVX over this Sony, even with the 1/2" chips and cheaper media.
EDIT: I shouldn't be too harsh, it is GREAT to have the new competition on the market; and I am sure there will be a solid niche for this cam. I also wonder what market the mini red will be in?
