I was invited by Hong Kong Government for a seminar in today dated June 25 :
" Hong Kong & Japan : Collaboration Opportunites in Entertainment Industry "
AsiaWood is born in today. WOW ! My new name for such " Collaboration " between HKG and Japan, and HKG and Japan have so many common ethnic culture and artistic achievements in our Eastern world.
Just my little update to all here at REDUSER.net to know:
Just alone in Mainland Market Potential as follows:
* Box office from 2004 - 2007 :
-Before 2004, maintain at < 1.0 billion RMB ( around USD 140M )
-2004 : 1.5 billion ( USD 190M ), 2007 : 3.3 Billion ( USD 420M ), and estimate for 2008 : 4 Billion ( USD 510M )
- Expect by 2011: > 7 Billion ( USD 900M )
* Presently around 1400 D-Cinemas with 3500 screens
* Mainland Villages served by Mobile Projection units, presently are around 3000, and expect to grow up to 50,000 in next one or two years.
In Mainland China, 2004-2007, out of 132 international co-produced movies were come from HKG + Mainland co-production.
