Red in Taiwan

I am going to be shooting a short film in Taiwan in August, and interested in shooting it on the RED. Does anyone know whether it is possible to rent one there?

simple: Where in Taiwan are you going to be? I'm in Taipei, waiting for my RED one, but I haven't heard of any owners or rentals happening here yet. At this level, they're still shooting a lot of 35mm film product for even commercial shoots.

I've heard of several in HK, a couple in the Philippines, in Singapore (Doh!), etc. Hong Kong's an hour's flight, so it is a viable option.

yes, I have a RED in Taiwan. There are 2 REDs in Taipei now,3 more coming in August.I think you can rent a RED in October easily.

Actually, most film people here know each other. I've just been laying real low for the last three years and lost my good contacts. Not hard to fix, though. Everyone's excited when a new camera rolls!
