It was hard NOT to notice the background. In fact I was so distracted by what was being shown in the background I had to rewind several times to actually pay attention to the whole interview.

Well, this is very good news:

- The 4k Redcode raw inside FCP. On the fly adaptive decoding from the wavelets to the sequence resolution.

- Sounds like the Panasonic P2 import dialog has been upgraded to a universal data import dialog, and now supports transcoding into other formats, as Ted says.

- Basically shoot stuff and hand over the drives. Gues you can drag 4k into a 480i sequence and having it play in realtime. How about that TJ :-)

LOL me too. As soon as the video starts you immediately zoom in to the camera, aint it strange how you cannot hear things when you concentrate intensly on looking at something:biggrin:

Ted´s talking about the "High Speed SATA Drive".

This *could* mean that you can plug the drive into a SATA Express 34 card on the MacBookPro? Should be much faster than using a FW port.

Or it could mean that the SATA port is exclusively for connecting the RED.

Or it could mean that with a SATA cable and a SATA card you can record directly to a Mac.

So many speculations, so little time (left :-))

that's David Macintosh. He designed the (incredible) Accuscene viewfinder, and the RED viewfinder.
A great man, with a really nice sense of humor.

Yes, I finally got to have a longer chat with David, he's a cool guy, and has done amazing things. More on the Red EVF coming up on a certain website...

EDIT - article up.
