Are 2000-2400 on schedule?

2001-2400 begin shipping in July

again.. its not July yet.

The 2 weeks was when we had the manual processing, hopefully with the new "my account" functions of RED.COM that transition period will be greatly reduced, but we wont know how that affects things till after this first round.

i don´t think there will be an update, because it´s on track when they start july.


i hoped mid june they can beat it, but now its close to july, scripts are written, weather is good, ND filters are waiting, ...

short story of my morning: my heart stood still for a second:

turned on my mac, emails check,
pling pling
there was email from brent, and next was a fedex tracking email.
shortly i thought, no! yes! no?

then, it was "only" (only just because i have no use of it by now) the info email about build 16 and the fedex thing was another delivery i am expecting from a company.

after some coffee´s i was back in life.

i am getting old with this, hehe

Still - Big Jon's "We are pushing hard to get more cameras out in the month of June than expected." sure did get everyone's expectations up (including mine) but later I found out that he had meant cameras for the so-called "fence sitters" which was a little disappointing. But in the end it's just a sign of anticipation and exitedness (is that even a word?) :blush:

I'm sitting here in a Mandarin Chinese speaking country and I just found a public library with about 500 film, script and film theory books IN ENGLISH!
I'm waiting for my RED ONE which gets better every day. I'm a student of FCS2 with online tutorials, which many members balk at, 'cause it's corporate, but my point is, God almighty, am I ever a lucky SOB!

Obviously, I'm not checking my email on Monday (?) but come September....

I have no problem jumping on the bandwagon, because I know how long and how far filmmakers have travelled to get to this point in history. 85 years and then BANG! 2 years? Come on! It's unreal to even imagine. Corporations: I just pulled out my Hi8 cam, top of the line from 1995. I bought the Pana MiniDV GS400 brick in 2005 and now I'm moving up to.... WTF?! UNREAL! : > )

I think red should speed up the process of the "fence-sitters". I mean, by the time they decide, they could even start from scratch and their place in line wouldnt be much of an issue. If you buy today, they could wait
the same time they have been waiting and their cameras, the ones sitting on the workbench could be of much use.
