i am very interested in reading biographys, i read all i can from my personal favs (starting from spielberg to mark knopfler, from painters, scientists, industry giants like steve jobs and so on).
so a question to the founder team of red: can you imagine to publish, in a few years, a documentary about the beginning of red, the "scam" offenses and the process until first delivery. i can imagine there are so many interesting stories behind this company we, the customers only can imagine, starting with jimīs passion for cameras and developing a vision until the fact that red has build up a community other companies are dreaming of.

another kewl thing would be a kind of online magazine just for red with stories around the camera and its user, interviews, tests and so on.

We're way off topic now and I think I'm not helping...
But...

i am very interested in reading biographys, i read all i can from my personal favs (starting from spielberg to mark knopfler, from painters, scientists, industry giants like steve jobs and so on).

Agreed! Some of my favorite books are the stories about creating great things:
- Grinding it out (Ray Kroc)
- Made in America (Sam Walton)
- Pour Your Heart Into It (Howart Schultz)

But Jim's story isn't just creating RED ONE... It's creating Oakley and then RED.

i know jim created oakley, but in this case the story would be more for the cinematic interested groups, how they develop this camera from first idea until today (or until we have the first academy winner film in the future shot on red (and iam sure it comes:wink: )
and all the up and downs.
not today, but i think it would be some nice stuff to read in a few years. and then - maybe red can reveal some stories they cantīreveal at the moment ... about the business, the beginning, friends and not friends, supporters and contras. actually the unique of red is on the one side the camera and its technic, on the other side the build up of a completely new company in 2-3 years. itīs just a story about passion, and thatīs all great stories are based on.

yes, the ray kroc book is cool. also thereīs a cool song by my fav musician knopfler about kroc: "boom like that" - quoting: i’m going to san bernardino
ring-a-ding-ding
milkshake mixers
that’s my thing

well, now i am hungry.

cheers:)
