I created the new account.
Bought some items.
Got confirmation that approved/accepted.

When I went to my account the second time to buy more items I was informed that 'no such user name found'.
So I did try to create my account again and got the error:
'user with such name already exist'

I accidentally just bought it twice because the site is so buggy.

It kept telling me there was no address on file for my account even though there was.

Same happened to me!

I ordered, gave my credit card information, didn't get an e-mail confirmation, and when I try to log in to my account I cannot.

While trying to access the price list from home page:
This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required.

Asked me for password.....for price list?

Same here, just ordered the camera and some other stuff. All I got was a small Flash window appearing that said "APPROVED". But no confirmation mail nothing, however, VISA called 10 minutes later and inquired about the purchase and they confirmed it, so I guess the order did go through...

also, just tried logging in, says invalid username/password...

I didn't get any kind of confirmation - no email.

I logged in again and purchased it again. Still no confirmation. That's when I called my card. They show both charges.

I just want to get something telling me what my place in line is. . .

Same thing happened to me, only I was just informed I was billed 4 times for the purchase!!!! This sucks, right now theres about a $14,000 charge to red.com sitting on my account, with no confirmation of even one order.

Just put what you need in to the basket and checkout with whatever result.
It takes the order.
Don’t put it in to the basket again or do not remove it from the basket after you did check out.
Also do not try to check out again on the item in the basket that you already did check out with.
If you do want to add some items after you did check out before, remove all old items from the basket and put just the new ones and check out. This action will add to the order.

I got a call from Bruce Skinner at Red and he took my credit card info again. He didnt know where I'd be placed in line (that probably goes for everyone) but he said he'd check with the tech and get back to me.

I tried to order at 9am and eventually got a receipt number at 9:30. I emailed at 9:03 when I encountered problems. Jim said something about a timestamp yesterday online, but I dont get when/how that timestamp is made. My credit card has been processed, so I hope that happened early, and not when I got the call two hours later.

got ANOTHER call from bruce and he needed ALL my info including bank and security code. i hope this guy Bruce Skinner works for Red! (jk) are other people getting calls?

I am a little worried that I might get dropped down the list. I mean, I gave all the info online and I had a receipt number already...

gulp

I went to order the 18-50mm lens but couldn't find United Kingdom, Britain, or England under the drop down menu, now I can't log back into my account with that email address and I think there is a "Great Britain" option to use... sigh, why did I have to live in a place with so many names! :)

Still no email confirmation here - just 2 charges on my card. I'm so upset.
Did anyone get an email confirmation?? What did it say? I've been emailing RED all day with no response. Did they give you a time stamp?
