After Panasonic announced 16GB P2 pricing at $900 and 32GB at $1,800, the 64GB Red RAM at $4,500 is starting to look more expensive. This was a great price 2 days ago, but my how fast things change. I know there's more parts involved in the Red RAM, but I hope Red can lower the price to the same aggressive level as the other Red components.

P2 is quite old technology in some respects, I guess Red can only charge what they have to pay. The Red RAM will be optimized for RedOne and is only a bit more than 2 x $1800 (32GB Cards). The reason 64GB P2 cards haven't arisen is probably due to the fact they cannot do it cost effectively at $3600. If they did release one at that price though, and it was as capable as RedRAM then I would probably agree with you however. Over the next few months prices on these things are going to change rapidly anyway.

we can certainly hope that the technology will drop in price...I have no doubt that Red will take care of us.
