any mix control surfaces available for Red and Final Cut 2?
Something above Mackie, and near Euphonix?
My new studio is not impressive with just a mouse and keyboard.

Actually that would match quite nicely with the new white Mackie Control Pros... but I know you asked for non-Mackie... uh... JL Cooper ?
Get an Optimus keyboard on order too, man... clients will love that. Round it off with a nice big Intuos and maybe a Cintiq for doodling?
